Preliminary Design of 120m span, lightweight steel roof for a new terminal at Jinan airport, China. The design followed a winning competition entry with IDA (Integrated Design Associates).

As a capital airport of Shandong Province, the terminal is designed to handle 3.5mppa in its first phase and will ultimately reaching 10mppa capacity. The roof structural geometry is based on two intersecting 'toroids', ensuring simplicity in engineering and construcution.
